ABOUT US

We fight trafficking at the root.

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.”  Ezekiel 33:7

Why We Exist

Jaco Booyens Ministries was born out of a personal story that became a global calling. In 1994, our family’s life was forever changed when Ilonka, Jaco’s sister, was trafficked after signing a record deal in the music industry. For six years, she endured unimaginable exploitation at the hands of executives who preyed on her innocence. By God’s grace, Ilonka was rescued, and her story of redemption now shines as a testimony of His faithfulness.

What began as a fight for one family quickly revealed a larger truth: trafficking and sexual exploitation are not isolated evils; they are systemic attacks on children, families, and nations. When our family immigrated to the United States in 2001, we saw firsthand how prevalent this issue is here at home. What started as a mission to protect our own family has since grown into a worldwide movement, equipping communities, shaping laws, and standing for every child’s right to freedom.

To end human trafficking in America, we must stop the demand. The impact of fatherlessness, pornography, and a hyper-sexualized culture is rapidly destroying the importance of family the way God intended.

How We Do It

At JBM, we stand as watchmen on the wall, called to sound the alarm and act. Our work is anchored in three pillars:

Prevention & Awareness

We believe every child deserves a safe and joy-filled future. By shining light where darkness tries to hide, we empower families, schools, and communities to protect children with wisdom and courage. Through trusted news networks, engaging media, feature films, podcasts, and hands-on training, we share truth and inspire action, igniting a movement of hope that protects the next generation.

Rescue & Restoration

Every life has immeasurable value, and every survivor has a story worth reclaiming. From the moment of rescue through each step of healing, we walk alongside survivors with compassion, dignity, and unwavering hope. Through The Way Ranch and our partnerships with law enforcement and NGOs, we are creating places of refuge, renewal, and long-term restoration, where brokenness is met with belonging, and wounds are transformed into strength.

Policy & Legislation

Lasting change begins with strong foundations of justice. We work to close gaps in the law, strengthen protections for children, and advance policies that honor the worth of every life. Through our policy and advocacy hub, Stops With Us, we unite citizens and legislators to build a future where freedom is safeguarded, justice is certain, and hope for generations is secured.

The fight against trafficking is not only about today, but also about tomorrow. We stand so that our children and their children may inherit a world where innocence is protected, families are strong, and freedom is secure. At JBM, we believe the legacy we leave behind is one of courage, truth, and hope. This is more than a mission. It is our calling. And together, we will see it fulfilled.

Our Mission

In the face of the darkness of trafficking and exploitation, Jaco Booyens Ministries, led by the Holy Spirit, boldly brings the hope of Jesus Christ—rescuing children and adults, restoring lives, reforming policy, bringing truth in education, and destroying exploitation before it can take root.

Our Vision

Guided by the Holy Spirit, Jaco Booyens Ministries envisions a nation where trafficking is eradicated, every child is safe, every life is free, and exploitation has no place in our culture. We pursue a world where justice prevails, dignity is restored through Jesus Christ, and every person can live free from exploitation.

Our Faith

We believe that our inherent value and purpose come from God.

The Word of God is absolute truth.

We are saved by grace through the gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

We are created to expose darkness and impact culture—

by serving the least, the vulnerable, and the broken.

We are called to restore faith, family, and freedom in our culture today.

And we believe that true restoration happens only through His will, His power, and His way.

We are the hands and feet of God, sent to help rebuild what evil has tried to destroy.
